Solicitation of Interest: Community Benefits Director
The Las Vegas Stadium Authority is seeking qualified candidates for appointment to the Community Benefits Director position. This individual will play a crucial role in advising the Baseball Stadium Community Oversight Committee and ensuring compliance by the developer partner and the Baseball Stadium Events Company with the terms outlined in the Baseball Community Benefits Agreement. The Stadium Authority Board will appoint the Community Benefits Director, who will serve as an independent monitor and advisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as staff to the Baseball Stadium Community Oversight Committee.
- Monitor and assess compliance with the Baseball Community Benefits Agreement.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, including community organizations, developers, the State of Nevada, Clark County, the Stadium Authority Board, and the Baseball Stadium Events Company.
- Provide reports and recommendations to the Stadium Authority Board regarding community benefits initiatives and obligations.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in the execution of community benefit commitments.
Eligibility Requirements:
Candidates cannot be appointed Community Benefits Director if they: (a) Have not resided in Clark County, Nevada, for at least five (5) years immediately preceding the appointment date. (b) Are employed by the Major League Baseball team or any affiliate or related entity of the team. (c) Are employed by or directly provide goods or services to the Major League Baseball stadium project or any affiliate or related entity of the stadium project.

- Community engagement and outreach.
- Compliance monitoring and enforcement.
- Public policy and stakeholder relations.
Submission Details:
- The Community Benefits Director will be a paid contractor to the Stadium Authority. This position is expected to require approximately 250 hours of effort per year.
- Applicants should have a demonstrated history of working within the Las Vegas community, particularly with youth sports initiatives, educational programs, or diverse community groups.
